At the breakthrough, Fushun Petrochemical Co., Ltd. assumed the task of localizing the ethylene refrigeration compressors, and large-scale cracking furnaces, ethylene cold boxes, and spare parts for the “three-machine” rotors were all resolved domestically. The topics that must be addressed in the localization of ethylene compressors include: research on integration of materials, welding, and heat treatment processes, research on large-scale numerical control machining processes for ternary impellers, research on rotor assembly processes, and research on manufacturing processes of chassis.

In the following years, Shenyang Blower (Group) Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Steam Turbine Co., Ltd. and other units through independent development and cooperative manufacturing, selection of low-temperature materials and structural design, impeller welding and rotor assembly process, turbine flow section The key links and technologies such as calculation and control are used to tackle key issues and solve a number of key technologies in the development of ethylene compressors. They have accumulated experience in the design and manufacture of ethylene compressors and have achieved the conditions for localization and commitment of 1 million tons/year. The ethylene production capacity of the ethylene compressor group enables the performance parameters of the compressor group to meet the requirements of the process and production, ensuring the long-term and stable operation of the unit.

According to reports, Fushun Petrochemical's 80,000-ton/year ethylene plant has mature and advanced process and production technologies in the world. In 592 sets of equipment, the localization equipment has reached 426 sets. The project will be completed this year. In May, the units began to drive vehicles in an orderly manner in batches. In October, the overall process was completed.
