ABB Robot Launches Online Interactive Training Course for the First Time

ABB Robotics has launched the "IRC Operational Online Training" interactive course. Through the course, students learn how to operate robots using the ABB FlexPendant and IRC5 robot controllers. ABB's first online robot training course will provide students with the same quality and depth of learning environment as ABB training facilities. Students can study freely according to their own arrangements.

The course model is a self-paced process for students. Video, interactive simulations, and practice questions enrich the virtual learning environment. Students will receive a Certificate of Continuing Education after completing the exam at the end of the course.

Christelle Keefer, ABB Robotics Training Supervisor, said: "The aim of ABB's first launch of the online course is to provide high-level training for students who have no time but are determined to learn."

There is no formal preparation for the new course. After successfully completing the course, students can reach the following levels:

Identify personal safety solutions;

Identify robot safety features;

Identify robot system components;

Use the joystick to move or manipulate the robot;

Can interpret time information and react;

Perform basic operations;

Modify the action instructions in the integrated program;

Demonstrate how to use input and output instructions in the basic program

Demonstrate how to save robot information
