Changzhou Energy Storage Material Innovation Alliance established

On May 18, the unveiling ceremony of the Institute of Energy Storage Materials and Devices, Changchun Institute of Chemical Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the establishment of the Strategic Alliance for Technological Innovation of the Energy Storage Materials and Devices Industry in Changzhou were held.

The Changzhou Energy Storage Institute is a research and development institution based on applied research and development established by Changchun Changhua, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and is a new model for further strengthening the cooperation between the hospital and the local government, universities, universities, colleges and universities. The Institute will develop new energy and new materials such as high-capacity lithium-ion battery cathode materials, functional lithium battery electrolyte, wide-temperature high-capacity nickel-metal hydride batteries, and pharmaceutical intermediate methodologies as the main R&D direction, with Changzhou energy storage materials. With the device industry innovation alliance as the thrust, realize resource integration, establish innovation clusters, and strengthen transfer of scientific and technological achievements, and become a new energy strategy emerging industrialization base based in Changzhou and facing the whole country.

The strategic alliance for technological innovation in the energy storage materials and devices industry in Changzhou was initiated by the Changzhou Science and Technology Bureau and jointly initiated by Changzhou Energy Storage Institute, Changzhou University, Jiangsu Suida Battery, and Changzhou Zhongke Science and Education Units and key enterprises. The goal is to promote energy storage materials and device industries in Changzhou to reach the leading domestic level after 3 to 5 years of hard work. The nationalization rate of key technologies has reached over 70%, and the domestic market share of energy storage materials and device products has reached more than 30%. Changzhou has become the largest domestic R&D and manufacturing base for energy storage materials and devices.
