· Volkswagen expanded its recall of some imported Audi A7, A8L and other vehicles

Recently, FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, and will recall some of the 2017 Audi A7, A8L and A4 allroad series cars from April 10, 2017. According to the company's statistics, there are 23 vehicles in mainland China. details as follows:

Part of the imported 2017 Audi A7 series car produced from September 8, 2016 to September 15, 2016, a total of 10 vehicles;

Part of the imported 2017 Audi A8L series of cars produced from October 11, 2016 to October 14, 2016, a total of 6 vehicles;

Part of the 2017 A4 allroad series of cars imported from August 11, 2016 to October 6, 2016, totaling 7 vehicles.

Some of the vehicles within the scope of this recall may have improper chemical distribution ratios in the airbags of the airbags or seat belts due to supplier manufacturing. In the event of a collision, the airbag may not be deployed properly or the front seats may be safe. The pretensioner cannot be tightened normally, posing a safety hazard.

FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. will test the vehicles within the scope of the recall and replace the co-pilot airbags, the right curtain airbags, and the corresponding modules on the left side of the front seat belts free of charge according to the test results to eliminate defects.

Relevant users should drive carefully to avoid collisions. The user should contact the dealer for repair as soon as possible after the recall operation begins.

The recall is an enlarged recall of the recalls of Volkswagen (China) Sales Co., Ltd., SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. and FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. recalled some domestic and imported cars released on January 24, 2017. The reason for the expansion of the recall is that Audi Germany headquarters has received additional information from supplier Autoliv, and the passenger airbag, right curtain airbag or front left seat belt may also be involved in this problem.
