2011 Announcement of "National Catalogue of Major Environmental Protection Technologies and Equipment Encouraged for Development"

On February 10, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Science and Technology jointly issued the "National Catalogue of Major Environmental Protection Technologies and Equipment Encouraged for Development (2011 Edition)", and a total of 108 projects were selected. Among them, a number of projects involving oil and chemical industries, and projects recommended by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation for waste tire rubber powder modified asphalt equipment have been successfully selected.

It is understood that the major environmental protection technology and equipment that the country encourages to develop involves nine areas. They are air pollution prevention, water pollution control, solid waste disposal, special equipment for environmental monitoring, comprehensive utilization of resources, noise and vibration control, and prevention of environmental pollution. Special materials and pharmaceuticals, electromagnetic wave and radioactivity (including nuclear "three wastes") pollution prevention, and emergency treatment of environmental pollution. Among them, there are altogether 72 development projects and 36 application and promotion projects.

Several items in the new “Catalogue” cover the petroleum and chemical industries, such as coal-fired industrial boilers, integrated desulfurization, denitrification and mercury removal equipment, high-concentration refractory wastewater treatment technology and equipment, oilfield drilling waste treatment and disposal technologies and complete sets of equipment, waste oil, Renewable base oil equipment, carbon dioxide bio-transformation clean energy technology equipment, industrial by-product gypsum comprehensive utilization equipment, special PTFE filter material for bag filter, carbon fiber composite filter material, polypropylene filter cracking fiber filter for flue gas filtration, Select catalytic reduction special titanium dioxide denitrification, chemical sludge and dregs drying equipment, waste plastic composite material recycling equipment, low phosphorus corrosion inhibitor, aluminum and titanium multi-functional compound sulfur recovery catalyst.

In view of the rising prices of natural rubber and the increasing dependence on foreign industries, the petrochemical association proposed that relevant departments increase the policy guidance and encouragement on the comprehensive utilization of used tires, and recommended Tianjin Haitai Environmental Protection Technology Development Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Yuhao Tire.
