Following the world’s first coal direct liquefaction and the first set of demonstration equipment for coal-to-olefins production in Inner Mongolia was successfully put into operation and reached production standards, on April 10, the first coal-fired natural gas project of Shenhua Group was constructed in Ejin Holo, Ordos. The commencement of the flag marks the official entry into the implementation phase of the Shenhua Ordos coal gas project. The project plans to invest a total of 16 billion yuan, the construction of an annual output of 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas, annual consumption of 6.8 million tons of coal. After the project is put into operation, the main product, natural gas, will be supplied mainly to the Jingjintang area. The by-products are sulfur, crude phenol, naphtha, tar, and liquid ammonia.
