Daqing Petrochemical implements clean production index across the board

Daqing Petrochemical Company is a national large-scale petrochemical enterprise. Since 1997, it has implemented a cleaner production program, established a system and four networks, and strictly enforced eight systems. This year, the company also carried out environmental protection labor competitions in various production facilities, established a special environmental protection award system based on the environmental KPI assessment, and mobilized the enthusiasm of employees. In the first five months of this year, the total amount of discharged sewage and total discharge of major pollutants of the company decreased compared with the same period of last year, and the qualified rate of monitoring at outside outlets was more than 97%. No pollution incidents, accidents, and personnel contact reactions occurred.

The company started from the optimization of structure and control process in the clean production to find the best solution and use resources comprehensively. Since last year, the two auxiliary boilers have been reconstructed, consuming 25,000 tons of fuel oil and 13.32 tons of tar. In order to solve the problem of excess gas in summer, the company adopts a power station to open gas-fired boilers to consume gas and compress the amount of purchased steam. At the same time, in the mutual supply of steam balance, it increases the mutual supply of chemical fertilizers and chemical plants to purchase the steam amount of thermal power plants.

The company also saves energy through technological innovation and achieves cleaner production. They replaced steam heating with hot water in thermal power plants, reducing the use of steam during the heating period by 320,000 tons compared to the same period last year. The coal-water slurry boiler system was used to reduce the consumption of 16,994 tons of mixed slag, making the refinery commodity rate increase by 0.55%, and increase the efficiency by 6.3 million yuan. The condensate deoiling device in the oil refining system has successfully used barrier oil removal technology and can recover 150 tons of condensate per hour. The plant used a water plant to recover water from the fertilizer plant, saving 80 tons of water per hour. In addition, the company has also completed more than ten energy-saving and water-saving projects such as the chemical wastewater reuse pilot test and the addition of air separation and condensate recovery systems.
