Summary of recovery of iron concentrate from pyrite cinder

After comparison of the various test procedures, the most ideal process for this pyrite cinder is the two-stage magnetic separation-spiral chute, and the optimum process conditions are determined through experiments, and the Fe grade is 62.63%. The cumulative recovery was 78.08%, and the S content was reduced to 0.23%. The following table shows the composition analysis of iron concentrate. The mass quality flow chart is shown in Figure 1. In addition, a better index can be obtained by using spiral chute-magnetic separation and magnetic separation-reverse flotation.

Each of the above processes is a flow test conducted under open circuit conditions. On the basis of the two-stage magnetic separation-spiral chute combined process, the closed-circuit process is tested, and the results are similar to the iron concentrates obtained by the open-circuit conditions.

Kunming Metallurgy Design and Research Institute has used this development and production of iron pyrite cinder red products. Comparing the quality of iron red which is directly prepared from pyrite slag raw materials and iron concentrates selected by the above process, the iron red products produced by iron concentrates are obviously superior to iron iron in quality and color.
