Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Announces Production of Turbocharger in the United States

According to news of the Japanese media on December 11, Japan's Mitsubishi Heavy Industries announced on the 10th that it will produce turbochargers in the United States from the fall of 2014. The company expects that the use of small-displacement gasoline engines combined with turbochargers in the North American market will have good prospects for development.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries will add a turbocharger production line to a vehicle air conditioning plant in Indiana, USA. The investment amount is approximately 1 billion yen (approximately RMB 75 million). The annual production capacity is initially set at 600,000 units, and it is planned to increase to more than 1.2 million units in the future.
