According to data released by the Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, as of the end of June this year, the number of motor vehicles in the country reached 319 million, of which, the number of new energy vehicles reached 1.99 million, and the national number plate for new energy vehicles has been fully implemented nationwide.

Data show that as of the end of last month, the number of motor vehicles in the country reached 319 million, of which 16.36 million new registered motor vehicles in the first half of 2018, compared with the number of registrations of 15.94 million in the same period last year. Car ownership reached 229 million vehicles as of the end of June, and 13.81 million new registered cars in the first half of this year.

The number of new energy vehicles in the country reached 1.99 million, including 1.62 million pure electric vehicles, accounting for 81.4% of new energy vehicles and 240,000 new energy vehicles, accounting for 12.1% of new energy vehicles. According to the "Energy Conservation and New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Plan (2012-2020)" issued by the State Council, the cumulative production and sales volume of domestic new energy vehicles will reach 5 million by 2020, which means that in the next two years, new The production and sales of energy vehicles will continue to accelerate. In addition, the special number plate for new energy vehicles has been fully launched nationwide.

According to data previously released by the Ministry of Public Security, as of the end of last year, the number of new energy vehicles in China was 1.53 million, accounting for 0.7% of the total number of vehicles. In the first half of this year, the number of new energy vehicles in the country increased by 460,000 units. The ratio has risen to 0.87%, and the heat of new energy vehicles is rising.

The number of small passenger cars and mini-cars (ie private cars) registered in the name of individuals reached 180 million, accounting for 78.6% of the total number of cars. According to statistics, since 2018, the number of private car ownership has increased by 1.66 million units per month, maintaining sustained and rapid growth.

As of the end of June this year, there were 58 cities in the country with more than one million vehicles, an increase of 9 cities compared with the same period of last year, including 26 cities with over 2 million vehicles, Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Shanghai and Suzhou. The Shenzhen, Shenzhen and Zhengzhou cities have more than 3 million vehicles.

While the number of motor vehicles is growing rapidly, the number of motorists is also growing at the same time. The data shows that in the first half of 2018, the number of new drivers in the country reached 13.25 million. As of the end of June, the number of motor vehicle drivers nationwide has reached 396 million.

With the rapid development of new energy vehicles in China, more and more new energy vehicles have entered the market, and in the coming second half, more new energy vehicles will be listed.
